The Student
Ready Kit & Vidya Material (SRKVM) initiative is a flagship program
under the Government of Andhra Pradesh aimed at ensuring equitable access to
essential earning materials for all students in government schools.
Under
SRKVM, students are provided with a comprehensive kit comprising items such as
uniforms, textbooks, notebooks, school bags, shoes, belts, and dictionaries.
This initiative significantly reduces the financial burden on parents while
promoting regular attendance, improved learning outcomes, and a sense of
dignity among students.
In the
current academic cycle, Boys: 41,850 Girls:
46,431 a total of 88,281 students
Major components include
- BAGS : 88,281

- UNIFORMS : 88,281
- Belts : 56,794
- Notebooks: 6,08,783
- Textbooks (SEM 1): 4,74,268
- Workbooks: 95,360
- OXFORD DICTIONARIES FOR CLASS VI : 9385
- PICTORIAL DICTIONARIES FOR CLASS I : 4909
The
procurement process has been streamlined through empaneled vendors to ensure
quality and timely supply. Continuous monitoring mechanisms are in place at
district and mandal levels to track distribution and address gaps promptly.
Special focus is being given to:
- Timely delivery before the academic session
- Quality assurance of materials
- Last-mile distribution to all eligible students
- Transparency through digital tracking systems
The SRKVM program is a transformative
step towards strengthening public education by ensuring that no child is
deprived of basic educational resources.
